Journal of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology is proud to be part of a multi-journal collection on gut microbiota: The Role of Human Gut Microbiota in Health and Disease.
The collection aims to bring together cutting-edge research, and at the PMI Journal we are excited to showcase how a truly multidisciplinary journal like ours can contribute with high-quality research and expert reviews that strengthen knowledge and resources across fields.
We believe this collection will serve as a valuable resource for researchers, clinicians, and policymakers. The findings presented will enhance our understanding of the gut microbiota’s role in health and disease and foster the development of microbiome-based diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
By submitting an article to this collection, your work—if accepted—will not only be published in the long-established PMI Journal, but will also become part of a collection that is widely promoted both by the PMI Journal and through Wiley’s social media channels.
Reflecting its broad scope, the collection invites submissions covering, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Brain and Gut Microbiota: Exploring the bidirectional communication between the gut and the brain, its role in neurological and psychiatric disorders, and potential microbiome-targeted therapies.
- Endocrinology and Gut Microbiota: Investigating the influence of gut microbiota on metabolic pathways, hormonal regulation, and its implications in conditions such as diabetes and obesity.
- Cancer and Gut Microbiota: Examining the role of gut microbiota in carcinogenesis, tumor progression, response to therapy, and microbiome-driven cancer treatments.
- Immunology and Gut Microbiota: Understanding how gut microbiota modulates immune responses, contributes to autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and affects vaccine efficacy.
- Aging and Gut Microbiota: Unraveling the impact of gut microbiota on aging, age-related diseases, and longevity-promoting strategies.
