The Role of Human Gut Microbiota in Health and Disease

Journal of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology is proud to be part of a multi-journal collection on gut microbiota: “The Role of Human Gut Microbiota in Health and Disease”.

The collection aims to bring together cutting-edge research, and at the PMI Journal we are excited to showcase how a truly multidisciplinary journal like ours can contribute with high-quality research and expert reviews that strengthen knowledge and resources across fields.

Call for mini-reviews

The PMI Journal  welcomes submissions of mini-reviews, extending a special invitation to contributors where the initial draft has been generated by a junior scientist, such as a postdoctoral researcher, graduate student, or undergraduate student. This inclusive approach aims to foster the development and recognition of emerging talents in the scientific community.

Mini-reviews should be concise, summarizing new and emerging fields and be accessible to non-specialists.

Mini-reviews offer an excellent opportunity to explore new and emerging fields, providing concise yet comprehensive summaries that are accessible to non-specialists. By submitting a mini-review, you still enjoy all the standard benefits of contributing an article to the PMI Journal. This includes free open access options and the absence of publishing and submission fees.

Manuscript format:

  • Approx. 3000 words (references not included)
  • 1-3 figures/tables
  • Up to 50 references
